Gentlemen,
My great buddie just scored a really good looking M5. 06 with 50K miles in that really clean charcoal color, black int, some exhaust and thats about it. He's not really a computer guy so I wanted to know if anyone here knew what some quick and easy mods are that he can do. Are there any engine mods?
We are going to run the cars this weekend, I'm excited to show him the diference between V10 and a finely tuned supercharged V8.
He's a great guy so please let me know in which direction I can point him in.

I friend of mine had one last year, and between 200-320 Km/h it's an absolutely killer! Ate the living **** out of almost everything except seriously tuned Porches turbos and Nissan GT-R's.

The M5 is definitely a sweet car. Mine had Evosport headers, race exhaust &cats, pulleys, stage 2 tune, Neez wheels, 3.91 diff..etc etc. At the time my mildly modded e55 destroyed it. They just are not that fast. Fun to drive for sure but not fast. I think the new crop of FI that is on the verge..(Gintani, ESS), etc of coming to production will make the M5s killers though.

Stupid freeway speeds up top especially when modified but you gotta be on it 8/10ths or better to live in the powerband.
I really like the E60 with a drop, wheels, and mods. Its not for all but I have much respect for it.

I'm with you Vic, something about the lines of that car really does it for me. I love how it almost looks bulky but its a monster of a race car. I love my 55 but have much love for the M5...
