I had a thread earlier about opinions on deleting the secondary cats and resonators. I had alot of mixed opinions but I decided to give it a try.
First off the sound is alot better. its not to loud, but also not to quite. It sounds a little meaner then stock and has a deeper tone. It honestly in my opinion makes the car sound like a amg now.
As for the power im not to sure if it gained much or any at all. it still feels strong to me however as we all know a 10 -20 hp gain will probally not be noticeable on our cars. My main goal here was for sound and I got what i wanted.
the reason for trying this out was I didnt want to spend 1-2k on an exhaust furthermore I didnt want anything to to loud. this mod is great for someone that wants just a little noticeably louder tone without attracting to much attention.
THe shop basically started where the secondary cats start with new pipe deleting the 2nd cats, and ran pipe all the way back till the end of where the resonators were. Ill try to get pics I forgot to take them when the car was on the lift.
Best of all it was 100 bucks. so I think it was worth the money.

i felt a loss of low end torque when i did this...so i put in an x-pipe and kept the nice sound (in fact, a little more refined) and got the low end torque back.
