Advise need for a purchase

Some advise need, there is a E55 W210 2001 for sale in NY ( I am in CA)
The car has been hit in the side and didnt have full insurance coverage therefore the owner did not fix it. However, the title is clean and clear.
Here few pictures, please let me know how you all think. I know this is not W211 but over here have more traffic. How much do you think this car worth?

85K miles, 2001, with major maintain done, (plugs, transmission service, etc...) White/black. Overall, the condition should be very good.
Anybody knows about the approx repair cost, front side and rear side airbag went off and according to the owner the car still drivable. Engine starts and runs OK. My concern is how much is really this car worth ? and is it worth it to buy and fix it ? I always love the W210 ... If I end up purchasing this car I might have to sell my S320...

I would never touch that car, but looks like he's a member here. Those 5.5 AMG badges are made by a member here.

Good parts car if you can get for super cheap.

Drive it from NY back to LA. That should be an adventure....

W210 E55 in mint condition (flawless less than 40K miles) $14K
The car you posted pics of is totaled.
The seller claims the car is drivable, 100% BS.
Even if you got it free, and shipped it cross country for free,
And could find free replacement parts, the labor and paint
cost would be more than the repaired car would be worth.
Pass.....

Actually he is asking $5K for it. Plus the shipping so $6K. The seller think cost of repair around $3K so $9K in total with shipping. I am worry the car cost more than $3K to fix.

i know you've already made your (very wise) decision, but I just had to laugh at his $3K estimate

Good move,
FWIW, I hit an empty 5 gallon pail that flew out of a pickup truck in front of me on I-95. That cracked my lower valence / bumper cover and bent some brackets. From 10 feet away you could not see any damage unless you pulled the lower bumper cover. Well this was on my 430 sport and that has the same bumper cover as an E 55. The lowest repair quote was $3700.00

The car in pic has at least $12K damage. It will sell to Potomac for $400-$600 and be chopped up for salvage.

Frame 100% tweeked, look at the bend in the roof and ill fit of sunroof, the entire unibody would need 10 hours on the frame machine.
