Throttle body help please!
Hello all,
I was chagning out my valve cover gaskets today and seen the dirt that was on in the trottle body, i happend to have some throttle body cleaner so i sprayed some on a rag and pushed on the plate for the throttle to open so i can clean it and now the car is idling higher than normal and the throttle gets stuck and have a check engine light, any suggestions?![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)

make sure you did not push out the black tube at the bottom of the TB -- breather hose -- Sounds like you have a leak somewhere -- that could be it.

yeah that was the issue, its the little aluminum line that is used as a bolt on the valve cover that needs to pe pushed into a T fitting so there is no leak. after i posted this i kept seaching and found a thread all about it, thanks man.

I doubt very much that you damaged the TB just by doing what you describe. I have opened mine up a fews times and the electronic board and motor with no problems.
Classic mistake which I made and had me going nuts for a while and engine was doing all sorts of things including running rough once warmed up, you wont see the vaccum pipe unless you use a mirror. I did not know it was even there at the back of the engine. Thanks to the guys on this forum

Its near the TB but its not the one attached to the TB, just near it on the drivers side if you are left hand drive. Just spray cleaner around the TB for a while until engine rpms change.
