What mods are needed to take an M5 on the freeway/highway (high speeds)?
if my car can whoop the m5 and m6 from 60-120, that is plenty fine for me.
if i can spank the m5 in 0-60, im more than pleased.
Most people don't even pass up 120 when going!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
in short once the 4th gear is in, the M will pass by when the 5th is in, the E returns to glory. lol
i don't know why, im talking about my car with a high tuned M, ECU, Headers & Exhuast, intake, sport filters + hot weather, lol which kills our 55k in our summer, don't blame it, it reaches 50C.
Heres my video if some of you guys havn't seen. All i have is the CM30 pump and raced in about 40 degree weather.

To the OP you won't need much at all. I think tune alone and this M5 I raced here would have lost. A member here with tune/pulley raced the same M5 I raced the same night and pulled on it easily all the way thru ( I was in the passenger of the tune/pulley E55 ).

old M3 130mph - my old S4 145mph -- my old M5 160mph
Takes alot of time and distance to get to these speeds -- but a modded E55 can get up there rather quick!! start around 80mph only takes a freeway exit or 2 to get up there.
Also, I had a few bikes and rode them +165mph -- So, the E55 gets there fast, stable and feels pretty safe.

and I am sure it is not as scary if you have been doing it for a long time. The motorcycle though absolutely scares me to death at those speeds. I have a 2009 1200 custom Harley and the most I go is around 90 and anything over it becomes stressful. What kind of bike you have?
Scott - We need to run again...I've added our underdrive pulley kit and tuned her again since....I won't tell you the new numbers. ;-)
Oh.....and long tube headers are on order.

A bike is a bit scary -- but you can not compare a harley at high speeds to a superbike Ducati
