Question Keyless go issues

New to the forum so thought I'd post a message. Just bought a '07 E63. The keyless go option works on the rear doors but not the front doors on both sides. Has anyone else had this issue. Any advice and help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

It's possible that the receivers in those doors need to be replaced... Rare for both to go bad, but not impossible... A while back my drivers door started working intermittently, and currently does not work at all... I diagnosed it to the receiver and it's a simple buy and replace for the part... I'd assume that's the issue especially if the rest of the system is functioning properly...

Mine's goin in soon for the driver side...It's very intermittent...If you're '07 you're still under warranty, just take it in to the dealer..!

sometimes mine doesnt work right away -- i need to try it a few times -- is there a battery that may be weak in the key??

And here I thought I was the only one with the issue on the driver side. I have to also check the pass side too. but it is annoying that I cant open or lock via keyless from the drivers side. Time to make an appointment, Thanks Guys

It's not a battery issue: a new battery did not change the intermittent malfunction on my passenger side.

You probably need new door handles.

I bought an '07 E550 a few months ago for wifey....3 of the 4 handles needed replacing, as well as the trunk handle.

Very odd that more than one go bad at the same time.

Yes, very common for the door handles themselves to fail. I've done multiples at one time.

I have had all keyless door handles replaced, under warranty. They are ordered then painted. Then installed

Some come painted, some don't...depends on the color. Also, usually after the vehicle has been out for like a year or two, the available colors in stock, diminish.

I have had keyless go problems for about a year now. It worked fine, on all doors and to start the engine, all of a sudden the "Key not recognized" message started to be displayed, then the "Key not detected" and it doesn't work at all. Replaced the ignition (for another issue), replaced a rear antenna and replaced the key and it still gives the error. Hesitant to just replace sensor by sensor as apparently the bill would be about $500-1500 per part? So I just use the key, although annoying, it at least works all the time :P
