Keyless Go Conversion

I've been shopping for an E55 and found one I like, it's missing Keyless Go (a must have for me). I found a couple of threads that mention a retrofit but no specific pricing. I can do the work myself, does anyone know what parts are required and pricing? tia.

I believe it is somewhat difficult because it requires putting sensors all throughout the car from pictures I have seen.

I'd imagine module, knob, 4 door handles, harness should all be there...trunk sensor...

It was deal breaker enough for me to go to BMW for my replacement when I couldn't find a good keyless go e55..

I did some research for the C32 and you will also need new door modules for all 4 doors, new door locks for assisted unlocking, a module in the trunk, and a module in the dash. Various antennae, and possibly a new EIS and key. The most difficult thing would be the EIS and key, because the dealer would need to order it specifically for your car.

It can be done and has been done, but you would need to know some one that can get this all for you and then have it all programmed through star. I'm sure there's an easier way, but no one has really done it on their own and the people that have will not give you an info on how it was done.

I think this was a part list that I put together a while back:
R/L front door handles for keyless go
R/L front door locks for keyless go
R/L front door modules 4 total I think
various receivers 4 as well
Keyless go module in the rear of the car
Trunk handle for keyless go
misc. wiring
Maybe a new EIS so I could have a keyless go type key
and a whole shifter for keyless go

Your worst nightmare...
I would just buy another E55 with the option in it already...the money you will spend will not be worth the benefit.

Contact Steve@mbenznl.com.

And see what he has to say about it before going any further with this project...

I have to agree with others this may not be a cost-effective task.

But, in the meantime, take a look at MBenzNL's work on his CDI if you haven't.
