WOW-FUN-WOW

It rained about 4 drops, and the rest of the day was dry. Trust me: As many runs as you wanted.. no waiting. The only time you had to wait was if you wanted to run someone..

My PB is 11.42 - Im pissed because on that run I let off, only to realize I had not crossed the trap.. ARG. My fastest trap was 122.X

Here is my PB (Going up on DT as soon as I scan it):
Had much better traps, but this was my best et..

R/T .385
60" 1.668
330 4.778
1/8 7.352
MPH 95.11
1000 9.568
1/4 11.426
MPH 120.96

If I would have stayed on it I think I would have been 11.3X NEXT TIME!!

Thanks Mo, and James, and Alan, and Sun! So great to meet everyone face to face, and swap stories. Great bunch of guys out here!!

THANK YOU MO for setting this up. I love you

Can we do it again, can we, can we??!!?

(Ran 6 times - 3 solo, beat: Shelby Mustang GT/SC (PottyDr is a cool guy.. I like him, and great looking car) | C6 Corvette that was VERY loud, and a 335i JB Someting Stage 3 something No loss head to head) Someone said this is adicting.. um... Can we do it again?????

Great meeting you Alan.. let me know when we are doing Sac. I didn't mean to bail without saying goodbye- I wanted to see if I had the vibration on street tires, and also get some food. By the time I found food, I was 40 minutes away. No vibration, Im sure I spit some weights off the drag wheels. I hope someone got some video! Great times you ran Alan!

I couldn't make this wonderful event but I hope you all had fun. I think a few cars might have hit 10's if the humidity wasn't 50% or more all day. I know when I ran in +1710' DA with dry air and then again in -500' DA with 90% humidity - both times at Sac - my traps and ET were very very similar both times. It would also be good to know if there was a tailwind or headwind.

Might not seem like much of a run for you Alan, but that would be a PB for 99% of us. So, how was the turnout? Any grudge matches?

Dane, just read your slip. Nice 60ft! What are you running for drag wheels?

They are a used set I bought froma a member here: Hoosier DR's on Rial 17" wheels

PS- They rub becuse I am slammed on links.. so I launched lifted, and then the car would drop half way down the track (rub, rub, rub). Not optimal, but Ill fix it. I suspect that based on the rubbing, I would have cut a 10.999 Right Alan??.. HAHAH HA!

First and foremost! Thanks to Mo for settin up this incredible event! I know it's a lot of work so kudos off to you sir! My offer still stands as far as helping out in any way I can in the future!

I hit a new PB of 11.127 @ 126.63. I just could not get out of the 11.1's for the life of me. I gave the car plenty of time to cool off between each run and I also STUFFED my reservoir with ice every time. So much for puttin in some 100 octane on a 91 octane tune and hopin the ecu adapts a lil bit. I talked to my good friend Jeremy over at OE tuning and decided to tune a race fuel map. I am determined to join you elite members in the 10's and I will definitely do it soon!

Thanks to the guys over at Hyevon Motors for always supporting me and for building me one dayam quick, consistent car. 11.1's @ 125-126 ALL DAY. Can't ask for more!

Congrats to the C63's today, they had a great showing and put down some killer times!

Nice seeyin the usuals and meetin some new ones! I can't wait to do it again!

Wow, what a great day out there today..... I consider myself lucky to be around such a fantastic group of car enthusiasts

It was nice meeting everyone again out there, and thanks so much for all who participated today. I hope you had a great time and I hope you'll join us again. Alan, Scott, Sun, James, Dane, Matt, Juicee, and everyone who joined us today.... thanks for all the support

Now for some updates.....

The E55 guys put down a spectacular show as usual. The track owner was telling me these E55 guys are ripping up my newly paved track

bassn_07: 11.00 @ 128 mph
BenzoBoi: 11.12 @ 126 mph
MBTek: 11.3 @ 123 mph (Scott, I've never seen so many timeslips in one day - you've got to have ran at least 50 times )
Bramage: 11.4 @ 121 mph
Shawn: 11.4 @ 122 mph
DC Performance: 11.97 @ 119 mph
Roselyv (CLS55): 12.4 @ 122 mph (on street tires )

The C63 guys were the highlight of the day today. They continued to run faster and faster till the very end.

OE Tuning's C63 with exhaust and tune only (no headers) took the lead today with an 11.60 @ 121.x mph. I think this a new record for a non-header C63

The Ferrari 458 Italia was an absolute work of art with an absolutely addicting exhaust note all day today. The car ran a respectable 11.4 @ 127 mph. Sorry you had leave early, but I'm sure next time you'll hit your 10s Je

Sgstanko laid down low 11s all day as usual in his Jeep - a walk in the park for him now

Matt in the black Corvette (quickest/fastest car today) was finally able to hit 10.30s and all I can say about that car is that I never want to line up with it

The GT-R ran a best of 10.6 @ 134 to 136 mph

Juicee pulled a fast one on us.... he came bright and early but as soon as he came, he locked his keys in the car and ended up stuck all day waiting for the freakin AAA guy, who showed up (literally) 5-hours after the phone call At least you took Rick's record bro

Rick, common man.... I'm very disapointed you didn't show up

I'm sorry if I missed anyone (a little tired and will go crash right now) but will make sure to post pictures and some videos tomorrow.

Again, thank you guys for showing up and inspiring us to go faster and faster

No worries Dane, it was great to finally meet ya! I'm glad your vibration issue was easily solved but unfortunately mine won't be as easy... Either way I still had a blast and enjoy meeting new faces and catching up with old ones.

Jeremy wanted to do Sac soon, very soon. It will depend on how fast I get my car back up and running because there can't be a Sac event without me...lol.

Yeah, either way it was disappointing not being able to run her like she's capable of doing. The day was looking very promising with a 11.006 @ 128 with a 1.687 60' time on the first runs but unfortunately the vibration I felt in these early runs turned out a little more serious than expected. Unfortunately this issue had me back on the trailer early and I shouldn't have pushed it after feeling it in. Still a respectable run and there will always be next time!

I love these event's, the people, cars, and atmosphere can't be beat!

The weather wasn't bad at all, for Famoso it was actually pretty decent. All though since the track is already starting off at a 600-700 elevation the DA will never be GREAT. In the morning it was very cloudy with high humidity with a slight sprinkle early on, but the sun did show it's face in the afternoon....

Thanks again Mo for putting in the time and effort that it takes to organize such a great event. Everyone really appreciates what you do for us!

Dane, nicely done! Your car is a fricken beast and you did a superb job at laying the power down....

Sun, what else could I say except..... You did a wonderful job at running consistently fast times with a terrific launch. I look forward to seeing your car in the 10's, each time you're getting that much closer. All you need is a little luck with getting some very good conditions.

Scott (Mbtek)....what the hell! As everyone witnessed, who the hell owns a E55 that hot laps their car (10 times in a row with no wait at the lights) with such consistency.....11.4's all day long! Your car is unbelievable and in my eyes one of the most impressive cars at the event. Guys, this guy never popped his hood to cool down, used 91, ran a million runs, but yet 11.4's like it was nothing. Great job and I'm sure you impressed a lot of people.

Jeremy..... Running 11.6's at 121-122 with a tune, street tires, spare, and exhaust, awesome! All you 63 boys are really impressing the hell out of me with these cars....fricken godly! I might really consider moving into one soon if you guys keep this crap up.

It was great seeing everyone again and I'm sure we'll soon see each other again.

Edit: Mo, please tell me you have my handheld weather station. BTW...it sucks driving a tow vehicle by yourself at night for 4 hours after a track event, and in the rain....lol. It's a very lonely drive and very hard to stay alert.

This was a very eye opening event.

The C63 on both coasts is proving to be a fantastic platform for this 1320 stuff.
The E55 is simply a brute of a car that seems determined to never be outshined.
The Hertz rental vertible C6, Black and Yellow , Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...tte-zhz-3.html

I LOVED THIS DAY even though i spent 90% of it doing stand up comedy, haha dam you guys are ALL crazy, haha.

So the Corvette has paddles like the CLS just one problem.........Each paddle does exactly the same action. A tap in is a downshift on both sides, a forward press is required to upshift, HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA. Holy heck that was weird going down the track in FIRST GEAR ,

Anyway I know pronounce myself HCRWRH( Hertz Corvette Rental World Record Holder)

The rental runs 12.52@113.5 , Like a C6 , Like a C6, Black and Yellow Black and Yellow..

I was sad not to get a chance to beat my old nemesis RAR heads up, Rick miss ya bud.
Mo , THANKS OLD FREIND for a great day!
Alan you are a perfectionist, no wonder you have achieved so much so quickly in your car.
Sun, it sometimes feels as if "the car can't" take a look inside, the answer is the question for you.
Serge and company, Dam you guys helped me so much with my bs, thanks for the I phone usage and great company durning my key FOB delimma.

Jeremy!!! Holy Hell you gotta chance to be the worlds greatest in that rocket of a 63!!
That sneaky peete is well placed , putting nos inside the air bag , wow simply inoovative.( this was meant as humor please do not accuse Jeremy of nitrous usage)

Tune and exhaust on STREET TIRES with how many miles?? 11.6@ 121 , dammmmmmmmm

MacG and Evan and Evan,
Mac , your the future man! Your C63 looks and sounds fast and well its FAST. GO CU!!!
Evan my CLS brother!! come to my house and pick up my tires, your car will do much better. The CLS is heavy, your going to need to lose some weight of the wheels and pick up my tires bud.( geat seeing you) sorry this can be so frustrating!

Shawn, never give up!!
All the Bimmer guys, comon give up the C63 is the car you need, hahaha.
Great seeing the BMW crew and hats off for continuing to push the M3's and 335s and 135s. We would love to see what can be done with a 335D?

The Ferrari guys, wow !! That car is fast and stunning. Guys this car is simply ART. I cannot say enough , Beautiful.
The GTR, did its thang, 10.7 all day@ 135-137, funny its so quiet, yet just moves out.

Track staff at Famoso: This was the best part, you folks are so helpful and the track was near perfect. The starter today had such patience and was so very helpfup backing the cars up, keeping the cars running safely. I have been to many events and I wish the staff at Famoso was at them all!

THANK YOU EVERYONE for attending!

Juicee.. I forgot to mention meeting you. You are a riot, and know you had your hands full with the CLS. On one run, I thought you were going to get groceries, only to realize you were still spinning the tires half way down the track.. Nevertheless, great meeting you too. I need to PM Scott - he hooked me up, and I understand something he got from me did not work, and that has me very bottered.

I am so fricking hooked on this racing..

I just finally got home after another pit stop on the way from Famoso. Alan, I hope your issue is not too bad (Time / $$), but you have one of the best in your camp, so I suspect the problem will be history soon. Will you elaborate?

I think your vibration must have been worse.. and I want to know what pitfall bestows the fast guys.

BTW- I saw Jeremy (C63) run a 11.5.. HOLY CRAP. I HATE THAT GUY NOW!!! (He still had his overnight bag in the trunk)
