E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Long tubes would not pass visual. Get some mids or shorties like Kleeman/Evosport. It will make things more difficult to see.

All aftermarket headers will likely not pass the visual test since they won't have the CARB stickers on them. However with shorty headers, most shops think they are stock headers and since they pass the emissions test and computer test, they don't stop you anyways.
Another way (more inconvenient) around the smog test is to swap the headers back to stock, then smog the car, then re-install your aftermarket headers.
