2005 E55 Where do i start?
I have a 2005 E55 with 36K. Does anyone have some solid advice on where to start with modifications? The car performs nicely, however I would like to get an extra 40-50hp safely. I have had several tuners tell me that I should first start by upgrading the cooling system since that is the achilles heel of the E55.
I live here in Central FL and am within driving distance from several high quality tuners. (ie. Renntech, Macedo Motorsports) There are definitely price differences between all of the tuners. I want value, but I am not willing to compromise on quality and will wait longer if necessary to ensure that car is modified properly.

Definitely NOT cheap but Renntech headquarters is high quality. Very safe tunes but nice gains.
Ain't cheap though for sure.
Call to at least get a price.
Tune, pulley and cooling upgrades for sure and you'll be happy. Headers are a SUPER nice mod for these cars but you run into issues with them (must keep a tune on the car due to some cats being removed/O2 sensors etc).
Do NOT add more heat to this car without a larger heat exchanger and pump. You'll be sorry. Supercharger will shut off (car will drive like a Maxima) and timing will be pulled all over the place.
Lot of the smaller tuners on the boards here really work their tails off to make people happy. Do some searching of the smaller guys and ask around for some word of mouth.
