SRS Malfunction..
So I removed the passenger seat nice and easy and plugged it back in and the SRS Malfunction comes on..anybody? don't wanna go to the stealer for this, figured this happens when the seat gets unplugged.

I tried unplugging the battery and it just stays in the ECU..Was told a special scan tool is needed to get to the bags so any help is appreciated.

I know its probably an old topic but after searching around, found nothing that really helps.. Hey Some of us like removing the seat when we head to the track

No help for the airbag but where did you run at? ET??? Come out to LI tonight, my DR's are on!

I had some plans but cancelled. where in LI are you? Wearing DR's myself.

2006 E55 AMG --old cars -- E39 M5, 2.7tt Audi S4, E36 M3 **Ducati 996, 748
you need to undo both batteries -- that should reset everything

No - I never removed my seat -- I just know some codes are stored in the 2nd battery... Esp if the big battery didnt work -- doing both will defn work for everything. No sweat -- it will reset your SRS --- Just hope it does not return :-/

well apparently not this time, disconnected both batteries and did not work..wont stress it anymore.

wow- that is shocking -- did you undo them for like 10 minutes? Are you sure that you installed the seat correctly all the plugs and that sort -- well - best luck -- sorry I was no help

I'm pretty sure for safety matters, which include brakes or airbags, you need the SDS to remove the codes. Basically, a CYA plan for the manufacturer.

Bring it out to TTM. Quick cellphone pic of DRs.
