Considering a Pewter e55....
I am looking at a vert nice 2006 e55. Pewter color with black. Heavily optioned. Vented seats, P2 package, 28k miles. CPO car. $41,800 asking price.
I like a lot about the car, but the photos I have seen - taken inside the dealer, dont make my heart pound.
Can any of you post and share photos of pewter colored e55 cars outside? From the photos I have seen, it looked kind of golden, but I thought the car was closer to a bronze-like gray.
And, thoughts on price from MB dealer?

Try going on ebay and searching for any pewter colored Mercedes. Make sure to look at several, the lighting is going to make each appear different.
Pewter is mostly silver, but has a significant amount of brown/gold in it too. In sunlight it looks mostly silver, but not nearly as bright as the brilliant silver or iridium silver colors. The indoor shots make it look much more brown/gold. It's not for everyone.
I'd buy a pewter car if the miles/condition/warranty were all right - those things are more important to me than the color. But I'd want a discount because it is pewter. That said, I'm not sure what is the right price for a low-ish miles, high option CPO car these days. Thinking $35K, maybe $36K is the right number.

2004 E55 Silver Pewter Metallic
I purchased a pewter E55 back in 06 because it was a steal.....I paid $45,000 back then. I agree with the other members that you will definately be able to find a better deal but here is a pic of my car lowered with HRE's

I used to have a black W211 E500 and sold it. The only color I was searching was Pewter. Its a beautiful color, I love it, under the sun is so nice. Mine is 06 with Pano-roof and did the rear spoiler and 3 fins CF Diffuser. The car looks very nice just need to lower 1" However, I bought the front lip but not install yet. I am afraid to lower it and installing will be too low and crack the lip. Anyways, I will try to post some pix later...
PS. You dont have to wash the car very often ! very easy take care color !

Again, very easy to maintain this color. But the price is way too high. I pay this car $33K with 39 months Chrysler warranty. I bought the car from a Chrysler dealer. 06, pano, parking sensor, Dyna Seat, rear sun-shade, Keyless Go, cooler and hot sit ... Basically my car is all equipped.
