Keyless go issues

The door handles on the driver's side of my car will not activate the unlocking of all the doors. The door handles on the passenger side work fine. This is the case with both of my keys. Pressing the unlock button works as it should also. What gives?

I had same issue. Had to get the door assembly replaced.

I had the Chrysler warranty so just paid my deductible.

I got it done at a Mercedes shop not dealer. I think the part was ~$200 + another $100 or so for labor...maybe more.

Thanks for the info. I've still got some warranty left so I'll get it checked and taken care of tonto pronto.

It's a very common problem on these cars after normal wear and tear... The drivers side is more prone to failure due to more use etc etc... Mine has failed as well, have yet to replace it... Check out the posted link for additional info...

There are two causes.

1. The door handle has a microswitch that could be defective and needs to be replace or
2. In the back drivers side door there is a door control module that detects the presence of the key through radio frequency.

If both doors on the drivers side are not opening, I would suspect the control module.

Same issue on my car. I replaced the door handle and it now works. Real easy to change yourself. there is literally on screw to remove the lock cylinder and the handle pops off. No need to pull off the door panel. the handle comes pre-painted the color of your car so you will need to give them your VIN.
