boost leak
Anyone have a boost leak? Can damage engine, turbo. Can cause detonation due to turbo spooling more and making more heat. Can over spin turbo. I have a louder than usual turbo spooling sound and blow off sound. Also IAT's get 60*above ambient with just a couple 3 second high boost runs. There is oil leaking out of turbo up pipe connection. Time to do a boost leak test. Need some T- Bolts those snail hose clamps dont hold over 20psi boost.

I had a boost leak on my STI. Get it fixed as soon as possible, depending on where its at it could cause problems. However I don't think you can have a boost leak on an E55 because the supercharger sits right on top of the motor, but I could be wrong.
