Salvage E55
Just wondering how much you guys thought fixing something like this would cost. I really want an e55 and just going through all the options.

I've seen similar wrecked E55's that sell for around $16K (fixed condition).. It would probably cost $10K minimum to fix this, and that is if motor and trans are ok.. Then... after all that you would have a salvage title wreck. There is no way to get any warranty on a salvage, so you would then have another issue: When things break on these cars, it is expensive. You can get a decent E55 for $24K - $26K. Save the extra money, and dont buy a nightmare.
I wonder whose car this was. It looks like it was moded similar to many cars on here, and a calif car too

I remember seeing that car on here so i know it is a board members car. He used to have yellow calipers but recently painted them that green. Sucks whatever happened. Maybe the previous owner can chime in if he wants to. Maybe you could talk them out of those wheels for me ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

This car is all over the w211 AMG Pic thread. Hopefully, the previous owner will chime in reagrding the accident history. I'm surpised that they left the DPE's on, would have swapped them out for some steelie spares a long while ago.

Yep- Thats it.. He is local to me too, but I have not met him. I wish him luck on the next ride. There is always a next ride.
