Do we know that that point is yet for these cars? I'm pretty sure we don't know yet what is the perfect set-up for our cars... We know what it takes to make a 10 sec pass..

there must be a way to overcome S/C heat, some SLRs have Turbos with the S/C, and of course we now turbos feed the S/C, but really no information on how they control the heat.

i think i will go for 50 shot of NOS pre TB for cooling it. and call it the day.

Quote: ha ha You would think so but with what he's said about his IAT's using water/meth injection and his intention to use this killerchiller (which I think sounds awesome) I was surprised to read this. I know Alan doesn't just do something for the heck of it.
Haha...you know me very well.

Honestly, I just don't feel there are any benefits of having the 185 over the 180. I'll know more after Famoso when the weather cools.

Quote: This is true, I have heard about some people not liking the "jerky-ness" of a larger pulley...But that would be a drive-ability thing, not a 10 sec pass thing, which is what ol' Alan is up to...
LOL...it was a great year for me! I now have over 20 passes in the 10's and consider myself lucky to been given the opportunity.

My best time is a 10.776 and I doubt I'll ever beat that again but if I do I won't complain...lol.

All though I've added a few mods, plus taken some away, and right now I'm probably about .1-.2 slower, but I'll know for sure at Famoso. As is I would predict that my car would probably do high 10.8's at 128.

I need to visit Jeremy again before race day to finalize my tune with my new additions. After this season I'll more than likely retire the E and move on to a different platform. I believe my car has given me more than I could have ever wished for .

Control your IAT's, high 1.5's to low 1.6's, stage shallow, and if you're fortunate run at a sea level track.

IMO I think a 180 is the perfect size with additional cooling. Once again it will depend on what you want out of your car. For me, it's all about 1320'.

Quote: They don't have a kit, yet, they have the parts list of what they supplied me w/ no install instructions. After my next install i'll have solid pricing/parts/general install/pictures list, hopefully in the next week.also I ran the race kit, where you turn off your interior cooling effect and everything is concentrated on the kc core resulting in even lower iat's.I've had some issue w/ this setup,if this valve fails you will get no in cab a/c,the valve they use is normally closed.all the iat #'s I have achieved have been w/o a split reservoir and no race valve setup.

do you have some news

Thanks!!

I'VE ORDERED THE NEEDED PARTS FROM KC AND SOURCED THE OTHER PARTS NEEDED,I'M WAITING FOR THE KC PARTS,SOME ARE ON BACK ORDER. I WILL BE INSTALLING THIS KIT ON ANOTHER MEMBERS CAR IN A FEW WEEKS,I'M HAVING MY OTHER CARPUL TUNNEL PROCEDURE DONE ON 10/18,THEN IF THERE IS ENOUGH INTEREST AFTER THAT KIT IS REPORTED ON I'LL SEE WHAT KIND OF DEAL KC WILL MAKE.WHEN I INSTALL THIS 2ND KIT,I'M PUTTING TOGETHER BETTER PICTURES AND DIRECTIONS THAN I CURRENTLY HAVE.

LOL...This next set will be going on mine and we'll have some documented numbers to share with the board. I'm hoping to have it on for Famoso so everyone there could see first hand at how it works.

Like Scott said, he'll be going under the knife tomorrow and hopefully he'll recover in time to do the install. I'm very anxious to see how this system will work on a cooling system like ours Aaron.... Keep in mind, all the info gathered is on a stock cooling system with only a upgraded HE. I'm sure you'll be one of the first to hear about how it works .

I wonder if Jeremy would make the trip up to Famoso for some track/tune time... I need to see him before hand - Ill ask.

I think that with the KC, bassn will pull a 10.5 or better.. thats my guess

Thanks Bramage for the vote of confidence but pulling a 10.5 will take much more than that. IMO a 10.5 would take an amazing 60' time, I'm thinking somewhere in the high 1.4's to low 1.5's. This would be near impossible on a stock tranny and converter.

I was also hoping to get my car back to the local track before Famoso but time isn't going to allow it. I really wanted to get some solid data from Sac before going to Famoso with a different setup.

As for the KC, I'm very excited to test out the unit on my car to see how it responds to my additional cooling over Scott. I will report back with some solid logging numbers, inside cabin temps, and any other factor regarding its performance. I have very high hopes in this system.

Yes there is, MBTEK sells one, unless you contact Kincaid directly, pay the $550 and re-route a bit of plumbing. Simple as that, and PearlPower is currently doing one on his car.
