Rear motorised telephone or alarm mic
does anyone know how the rear motorised mic in the rear lighting roof surround comes down or how it is used?
Did not know it was even there......I stumbled upon it when changing the interior bulbs, I pulled it down with a flat screw driver, but when I plugged the power back in it went straight up agian.
oh.... and will it increase my BHP if I get it working properly

you think so?
I checked the plug loom to the unit. It has 3 wires and a fitting for a forth which is not used..........but the thing still went back up on it own, so it has got power going to it.

That's called IMS - Interior motion sensor... If your window is rolled down with the alarm armed, it will go off if someone sticks their hand in the window etc etc... It's not standard and last I remember wasn't even a dealer available option on US cars...

Good thanks mate......just generally busy...saw you going past A12 Toys r us, last week, was dark but saw the no plate first
U know if that sensor comes down on its own at some point? or it just stays up all the time.
Thought it was for rear pasangers to speak on the phone
will catch up soon
