I think that people want top mounted intercoolers not for cooling purposes, but to increase their horse power.

SLR Top mounted coolers help a bit with cooling, but I believe it prevents the loss of boost and it will make your supercharger that much more efficient, allowing your engine to make more horse power. Our intercoolers are very inefficient and allow boost to be loss and thus we lose power. I think that's right.

Is the SLR S/C plug and play to ours?

i.e. same casing and dimensions?

Not from what I recall, it has different gears. There was an MKB car with it on, but ithink I heard he ran into many issues. Might want to ask the guys in the UAE

Yep gearing is different but wondering if the casing and dimensions are same as ours... I cant see how it could cause problems its an all mechanical component. Only issue is if it does not fit right.

hmm well think of how you are going to program the ECU, to take that that into consideration?

it also has M1/M2 setting and different Gear ratios....and well you know how much of a head ache that was for u (TCU)

The only problem is recalibrating the IAT and MAP sensors...

The I/C's , S/C outlet manifold seem plag and play.

Anyone know where the SLR IAT / MAP sensor/s is/are?

Sorry I meant the S/C gearing not the g/box gearing...The S/C gearing wont require any ECU / software changes... its the same as adding a large crank pulley.

SLR uses two AIT sensors and they are on the surge-tanks/intercoolers.

SLR S/C is plug and play, but your car will be leaner without a tune. it will work fine, only thing you need to do is to retune your car for the more air your are getting.
