Surge tank cover question
Anyone know when you remove your surge tank covers for painting, if you need new gaskets for the re-install or will they just bolt right back up?

I would recommend replacing the gaskets since you have it off.

i have done it both ways new gaskets and reused old ones, eaither ways they dont leak. now if the stock gasket is bent or wraped you should replace them. they are about 20 a piece from the dealership.

I did it with stock gaskets reused( they are metal). Just clean them up with some TSP and a 3m scuff and good to go.
