Definitely a great project Mike.... I will keep an eye on this thread
I have a couple of questions:
1) After adding this new menu to our dash, would this new menu go away if the dealer somehow re-flashed the ECU or some other component through STAR?
2) If someone has the RENNtech ELM v2 or v3, would it be possible to just add the new menu (dashboard component) or would you have to buy the whole lowering module/kit again? In other words, will it be modular?
3) Would this work with ABC as well?

So you have a working module that allows us to lower and raise our suspension by simply touching the steering wheel...nice!
yes
How do you differentiate between front and rear?
You select front and lower or raise it. Then you move on to the next screen "rear" and lower or raise that
The lowering is consistent and no "phantom drops"?
What is a phantom drop? The car makes all the suspension adjustments you selected after you exit the :Suspention control" menu. So yes it really works
What happens when we go between sport 1, sport 2 and comfort...raises and lowers by the same amount every time?
I went over a speed bump today. Before I got the the speed bump I selected to raise the car the old fashion way. and it worked perfectly
Seems like there is a lot of excitement regarding this...looking forward to the post-intro specifics.
As far as function it works flawlessly. There is one section in the display text that is worded backwards at the moment. Once that is fixed and we write up some install directions things will be a go

To access the screen "suspention control" you have to hold down a button on the steering wheel for a set amount of time. The dealer would never know that screen existed. So no, no ECU flash or update will take away the new menu.

Unfortunately this will be its own system
3) Would this work with ABC as well?
Works on my SL55

Make this reasonably priced and you will sell every one you make. For the record I define un-reasonable as anywhere close to the price of the RT or Carlsson ELM''s

Any new developments on this? I need 2 of these within the next week or two. It's down to your module or the Renntech. I'd prefer yours. Let us know. Thanks and keep up the great work!

I heard a rumor renntech's coming out with a version that will control from the steering wheel as well. Is that true? If so, what are the differences between the 2 units?

I'll get an updat today. As for living with the new lowering module. Its working perfect. No issues to really report. However i do not recommend riding around on the lowest setting. It looks real cool, but riding on the bump stops is not a good idea.
With something like this, the owner will have to use discretion on what is to low. I would recommend lowering the car only 1/2 way to what this thing can do. Anything lower should only be used for car shows or when the car is parked.

Let me get the video out today on how it works and stuff. I need to contact my friends at loweringmodule.com to find out pricing. I think its like $100 more than a V2 ELM with remote. Except this new ELM has a stealth factor like no other. Meaning you can't access the "suspension control" screen unless you know how.
On the plus side, if you take it in for service, you can set it back to stock ride hight with the touch of a button. Once its set, only people who know how to work the ELM will be able to lower or raise the car. In most cases i would assume the only one that would know would be the owner.
