New ELM sneak peek

Wanted to share with you guys one of the many projects going on at MBH. This one being for a new style of lowering module. In conjunction with loweringmodule.com we look to bring to market a cool new way to lower and raise your car. Knowing that all the modules currently available are over all great performers. It really caught my interest when my friends at loweringmodule.com contacted me about the potential of a lowering module that has never been done before. I jumped on the idea to help bring this to market.

I would like to share with my AMG buddies... A little sneak peek at a lowering module that allows you to control the ride hight adjustment without ever taking your hands off the steering wheel. Without saying to much as we are in the final testing stages. Here is a little how it works.

Once the hardware is installed it creates a new selection screen on your dash. With that its just like scrolling through your standard menus. Once you access the new "suspension menu" You can raise and lower the car to your desired ride hight with the +/- volume controls.

I haven't had a chance yet to sit down with the guys from loweringmodule.com to go over installation and operation instructions yet. Fear not I soon will.

I'm sure as some time goes on in the next week or so we will have some video's of how it works. Until then I've got a few pics. One of a menu screen you have never seen before.

You got my attention. I'm willing to get some kind of ELM and this would be perfect.

Thanks, I hope this just adds to the options when choosing a way to lower your car.

it's so close to being finished. I mean we just have to come up with install instructions on paper, take photos, and shoot a video.

We hope this becomes an option for the people who want total convenience and a OEM finish. This could be like having your cake and eating it too

I think it will be right around what other ELM's are going for. The interest seem high on this new lowering Module. I will put it to the top of my priority list to expedite this to market. It looks like we have the potential for a group buy.

You posted on an SL thread about this - will the module work for R230 SL as well?

Does this module need to be physically spliced into the wiring (like other lowering modules) or will this plug into the harness as a piggy back (like the Smart top module which integrates into the OEM Dash computer as well)?

Thanks!

Will it control the 2 fronts and rear independently? What is the range on the drop?

This will work on a R230. My car is an SL55 and it works perfectly.

No splicing required at all, if you mean by splicing cutting and soldering. It will be a matter of following steps on a wiring diagram. To install this requires some simple hand tools and some finger work.

This controls the front and rear independently. There are a total of 16 settings for the front and 16 total settings for the rear. You can go from monster truck to down in the weeds all from your steering wheel. Or you can do what I first did by mistake, and set the front to the highest setting and the rear to the lowest. In turn it made my car look like it was pulling a wheelie.

So you have a working module that allows us to lower and raise our suspension by simply touching the steering wheel...nice!
How do you differentiate between front and rear?
The lowering is consistent and no "phantom drops"?
What happens when we go between sport 1, sport 2 and comfort...raises and lowers by the same amount every time?

Seems like there is a lot of excitement regarding this...looking forward to the post-intro specifics.
