My first Mercedes-Benz.....
I just purchased a 2005 E55 AMG and I am simply blown away. The car is an absolute beast. My past cars have been BMW 535i, Audi S4, and BMW 330Ci. I have always ruled out Mercedes simply because they do not offer a manual transmission in their higher performance cars and larger sedans. I got a great deal on the E55 (I think) and I do not miss the manual transmission at all. I guess the amazing amount of TQ makes the manual shifting easy to forget.

Welcome! It's a great car. CAREFUL on the corners brotha. She's no Bimmer and needs some getting used to on those off/on ramps at higher speed.
Otherwise, enjoy the mind bending torque!!

Welcome to the club that is a good looking car. I am in the western suburbs of Philly too. I usually run my car a Cecil Co. dragway a few times per year. I planning on one more trip this year. If you if you are interested in running your Beast, let me know; would cool to have another Benz at the track. Good luck with your new car.
