Recommendations for some good wheel brands
Okay, other than the obvious (HRE wheels), what other brands out there do you guys reccommend that have great quality, durability, strength, superb finish and of course customer service. I've heard DPE, forgestar, Modulare, and others. I'm still on the fence about ADV1 and even 360 but won't rule it out. Any others? I've heard that HRE wheels bend easily. Any truth to this?

You've pretty much hit all of the good ones minus COR forged and Rennen. Hell if you can find some RennTech monolites you have a sure winner.
But in all honesty man, HRE FTMFW!!![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)
There wheels rule and the customer service they supply is unmatched!
I have had 2 sets this past year and even when my lady friend smashed them on a curb they still held air and I didn't have to call a tow truck. They are very strong wheels. Keep in mind that against the meanest pot hole every wheel will lose so I would go with something you like the looks of. Especially when you have a great vendor here (B. Gorman) who can fix wheels for a great price.

Who makes COR and Rennen? Are those reputable brands?

Rennen is fairly new but they are up and coming. If you surf 6speed forums there are a lot of P-car guys using their wheels and COR is pretty well known around here. Their wheels are very nice. I wouldn't hesitate putting a set on my beast.

Please tell me that a favorite pair of shoes and/or favorite purse received a similar treatment. . . my wife now does 14 point turns and will get out of the car to check how close she is too the curb ever since the Christian's and Gucci got threatened. . .I'm just saying. . .

The lm is the only wheel I would buy from bbs because its one of the few that is still made in germany. Not to mention the forged barrels. I hate the modular 3 peice design that iforged, hre etc use because of the water that gets trapped in the berrel causing vibrations in rainy weather. Call eric@ supreme power if you want a deal on some works. Tell him I sent u.

BBS LM's are made in Japan!!! Also, as another member stated, step lips stop water from collecting in the barrel. Work Wheels make really decent wheels, but they are hard to get replacement parts for....so if you damage one...you may have to wait for a while to replace it or get it fixed (they also weld the inner and outer barrels together on certain models...which makes them useless as true 3 piece wheels and even harder to repair/replace)...also, they don't use the same standardized parts as the majority of the US wheel makers do.

Really comes down to how much you want to spend... IMO...
Higher end, top notch wheels... HRE, DPE, BBS hands down.
2nd's Iforged, Vossen
3rds MHT, Asanti, 360 Forged, GFG, Forgiato,

I will NEVER use a multi rim on a street car, just too much of a PITA.
The other part of the equation that always makes me laugh is WHY does everyone here insist on 1K + rims
![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
I use and LOVE my Enki, Fitipaldi's, BBS, and ROH's.
With the exception of the Fitti's, which I am not sure are still being made, they are all cheap. That is less than $500 per, with most of them in the $250 range.
just cause they cost alot, does NOT mean they are worth it, IMHO.
Oh well, I guess I am just too cheap to waste 5K on a set of rims
