I was in South Beach about 3-4 weeks ago and could've sworn I saw a silver w211... unfortunately could not pull over and confirm its authenticity. I just assumed it was a "creatively badged" 500.

I was in Ft Laud today when I saw the car. I knew it was something special as I saw it approach from across the intersection (very beefy looking tire profile) then when the car made its turn directly in front of me in slow moving traffic is when I could focus on the e55 and amg badges, the amg exhaust etc. The car then moved into the center lane found an opening and took off...it sounded very very nice, a deep growl

Well, I talked to my salesman today. The car in front of mine is still at the port because MB hasn't released the pricing yet. Mine is due at the port May 2. I hope they have pricing by the or I will be waiting as well. Any car you see right now is either a fake or was bought through a different channel.

Nav is not a major selling point for me. If it was I would be more likely to build a pc into the car and hook up a GPS to it. I have had problems with my HK. I don't want to add another piece of new tech to the mix. I'll let all the 04 buyers beta test for MB and I'll get nav on my next Benz. The sattelite radio interests me much more. Hopefully it can be dealer added. I'm too impatient to worry about it though.

On the way home today, at Calabasas, CA, I stop right behind a white E55 AMG with Qua-pipes on the backend and the car still have dealer plate on it, SouthBay MB, waiting for red light. It was driven by a lady...she drive fast and tail gating people. I cann't take a good look of the rims coz I don't have a chance to see the wheel stop spinning. The car is consider dirty, probably haven't washed for almost 2 weeks...I can see the front rims have cover with black break dust already incompare to rear rim.
The front look a bit different on the lighting area. The headlamp washer has different color than body color...it looks like gray color to me.
Other than bigger tire/rims, 4 pipes on the back and front headlamp washer color, everything else looks about the same as regular E-class. A perfect sleeper!! NICE!!!

I don't think I will be able to go. If I do get to go, I won't be taking the E55 and would likely stay with family in Ocala the day before. Sorry.

a couple weeks ago I saw a brand new beige/champagne e55 in the parking lot of a jamba juice. Went up to it and looked at it, had quad exhaust, split spoke rims, all the badges, side and back kit, but no front. I wanted around to the front and it was a stock E bumper. It seemed like a real one, just maybe something happened to the front??? This could be the same one you saw DL_AMG, could have been white also.

The AMG Challenge is at Daytona May 21 and involves a full day of classroom teaching along with being a passenger in an AMG vehicle with a professional racer before being turned loose in 3 AMG vehicles of your choice out of the entire AMG lineup. Check out the threads from the end of March when the invitations were sent out. I don't know if there's any space left, but if there is, it is $850 and that includes lunch and awards ceremony.

I saw a 2003 E55 aswell this week, it was parked near an stage for some artists (It was a national vacation day here in Holland)

It was a very nice colour, looked like cubanite silver
