Drag tire/rim question

I want to get some drag radials but i'd like to get some 17's and put some 275/45/17 drag radials. Does anyone know what size or what oem rim i could get to put these on? I'm not trying to spend a bunch of money on custom rims for it if possible.

cheapest way will be to get some OEM aluminum CLK320 wheels, i think they are 16s and then look on local craigslist list for DRs

I run a 275/40/17 MT ET Street Drag Radial and they are mounted on a 17x8 or 8.5 I forget. I have to go check. Ebay is your friend

What kind of rims are you running? I was thinking about just getting the 265/40/18 for the stock rim but i'd like to have a set to just swap out when im going racing

17" OEM MB wheel, my guess is that the 265/40/18 is a .5 taller tire than the 275/40/17 which may result in slower traps

If you want to mount them on the stock 18's, get the BFG drag radials in a 275-35-18. They are just a sticky if not more than the MT and a smaller profile tire.

the guys on the SVT Forum talked me into running that setup, I think if I drop the psi a couple more pounds it will help me get into the 1.6x's

17x8 would be the narrowest you could use with those tires.
Pass on the BFGs, MT or Hoosier all the way. Also, pass on the CLK320 rims.
