you should do the lambo pearl white. aren't you going for a 'different' color? grey seems pretty normal to me. not that it's a bad color, it's just a stock MB color.

My vision for white is some flavor of white, keep all the chrome trim except matte black grill and badges. Same white on the insides of the stock wheels and the calipers sprayed with a purple-to-green chameleon paint. Gloss black roof and set the suspension a bit lower.
Thoughts?

That flint gray one looks GREAT! My vote is for something totally different, though. I say go with a "flat" black. I put the word flat in quotes because people usually mean a semi-gloss when they say "flat...". The Mercedes Midnight Edition SL has this finish and looks AMAZING!

Whatsup guys, thought I would update the thread with some pictures of the progress. What do you guys think?

Removed all glass
Removed license plate bracket
This HoK clear is amazing

As you can see, the undersides of my E55 are better quality than the stock paint. This was only using 2 coats of clear. Rest of the body gets 5 coats clear.
So you think my roof is black???
This was only a test of the black roof, but the roof is in fact Black with a Flint Grey flop!!!!!!!
From a few feet away, it is gloss black. Get up close and move around in the light to admire the Flint Grey Flop

Looks factory except that it flips from grey to black! Pearl white would have been sweet but so would Lambo white! Oh well, looks like you are doing a very detailed job! Can't wait for the final pics. Get some good shots for us.

Thanks guys. Thinking on doing the wheels the same Black + Flint Grey flop, leaving the silver lip and the inside of the wheel body color Flint Grey. Not sure on caliper color. Thoughts?
