Chevy Camaro
Was the wind blowing for this run? Seems a bit low. Lopes80 says he ran a 180.x and the last I saw his mods were comparatively mild. Different track of course. I believe a stock 6 Z06 is around 177-182mph so 180 is in good company.
A stock Z06 at the Texas mile runs 166-170 max. A headers, CAI, Tune Z06 will do 174mph.
Soulsearcher went 189
Marko went 174
and the Blk CL600 went 177 I think
Exotic-metal 180.4mph
Congrats Exotic-Metal on hitting your 180mph goal in these windy cross winds.

Watching Richard's orange Lambo flip in person was surreal. I was THIS CLOSE to walking to the end of the mile way before his run so I could snap some photos of him coming down the stretch. Part of me wished I did, and the other part is glad I didnt. It would have been a weird thing to capture (for me at least). Dont know how I could sit on my computer and edit those at the end of the day if there was a fatality. Seeing the chute deploy then the car going airborne and flipping was a shocking experience.......even when viewed from the starting line where we were at. I talked to Richard right before his run. Super nice guy. I'm glad he walked away without any serious injuries. It was weird seeing a record holding car take flight (pun) and crumble like a matchbox car.

It is cool! Best thing is you have to present a time slip to get a shirt!
thats the plan. There was over 40 hours or ROAD TUNING into this car, and it is setup perfectly. Tuning for the mile is a completely different that tuning on a dyno.
We set out to prove a point, and feel we definately did that...

Thanks man! When you guys come back down to Houston, let me know! Seriously, all three of you guys in the Eurocharged camp are one of the most down to earth tuning companies and people I've ever came across. Same goes for Shardul, Hadi, Brook and all the Houston AMG people I met. Thanks for all your hospitality. I felt like part of the family and I can't thank you all enough for everything!
