2005 E55,172 pulley, H/E, shorty headers. 1985 280sl euro
evosport vs. eurocharge??
I have dreamed of an E55 since 2003 but didn't have $90K to blow on a car. Finally, I just purchased a 2005 E55 and ready to mod.
I am looking to install pulley's, pump, cooler and tune for sure. I may go with headers and larger throttle body too. What are your thoughts on the companies I have listed and are there any others to consider?
I appreciate your help and looking forward to the mods and the board.

PS. I am in San Antonio , TX so if anyone else is I would like to get to know you.
Thankx

Have you searched on these two companies? I will tell you some people get touchy if you have not used the search buttom first. It really is a personal preferrence. There is also Kleeman, Renntech. Look into those as well. from some of the searching that I have been doing I am looking at doing Headers and a tune first, then looking into a pully but will more than likely not do the pulley after hearing stories of them falling off. Good luck on your quest and welcome to AMG.

I think a new IC pump should be your first mod, then headers, then pulley, tune, and HE, then TB and airbox...
Headers are all about your budget, I went with kleemann because they were the best gain per price, but thats up to you....You should give Jerry from EC a call or PM, He will let you know what's up according to what you want to do!
(He lives in Texas)

Agreed! Your tire can fall off to if not properly mounted, don't be scared!

Use that search button, because like Jayhawkblk said this is a really touchy subject. Everyone has their personal experiences and opinions with various tuners. I 'm very happy with my Eurocharged tune but I have an E63.

I always throw Kleemann in the ring. I'm very happy with all their parts on my car. ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Cory is nothing short of great to work with.
Good thing is there are plenty of threads and debates on the subject so I'd recommend spending some time going through past threads and PM'ing members about their experiences with who they chose.
Best of luck! Congrats on the beast!

Eurocharged Performance ML63 and TT lambo
Congrats on the car purchase! The E is one of the best cars out there for the money!
We can definately help you (eurocharged) get to where you want to go, and Jerry is about 2 hours from you in TX. We could even road tune you as well as dyno tune to make sure the car is performing optimally under all conditions!
We recently broke the v8 mb mile record with a 180.5 mph pass!
FWIW, powerchip does Evosports tuning, so when searching that should help.
A few other things to concider: Injectors and DIAGNOSTIC LOGGING SOFTWARE/HW!

Congrats on your Beast! Be very careful with all the "Kool aid" you will be offered out there....Do lots of research before you pull the trigger since you are not only looking to go fast but to have a safe running car for years to come!

My .02....
Getting the best tune is not about which company to choose, but about doing the research and making the decision yourself.
+1 on data-logging. Always a good idea to make sure all the routine (and not so routine) maintenance has been preformed and the car is running strong before you add mods.
Do a baseline on the same dyno you will tune on, before ANY changes. Even if you use a box tune, get a follow up dyno to ensure you got what you paid for.
I would do headers/tune before a pulley, Motorkas taught me that
.
Good luck with whatever company you go with.
And BTW Jermey of O.E. Tuning is my guy!

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Spend an hour or two and read every thread on both companies. Not many have complained about Evosport or Kleeman from what I gather. Do your research. Congrats on your purchase.

How much money are you looking to spend? That might be an issue? If you have all the money in the world, just ship it to rentech and tell them you want it "fully load" it might be 50k, but who cares
