Hi everyone, new to the forum .. just wanted to show my new project

I bought this last week for really cheap, i was originally gonna get a M5 but i had so much issues with bimmers in the past so i passed on it and got this for amost a third of the price which left alot of room to mod it.

the first day i bought it i had it dropped to my friends shop and did the follwing in literally one day lol -

limo all around, red calipers but then i made him change it to yellow but its school bus yellow now so im gonna make him go darker yellow or maybe green lmao!, I got a really good deal on HRE p40 rims my friend bought a close out deal so he had 20 sets of these for less then half! , lowering links, 12k hid, 8k hid in fog and inner lights, carbon fiber front lip, rear diffuser, wing and roof wing, resonators and second cats removed, new mufflers, same amg tips done in matte black, K&n drop in filters, blacked out top and front grill, blacked out badges, flat hood emblem .. thats all i can remember top of my head but they did a complete make over in a day i was amazed ..

im dropping it off again tomorrow for round 2 - the rims are being painted matte semi gloss black im just not a polished chrome fan, grills will be matte semi gloss black instead pholenic spacers, roof will be matte blacked out,moldings to be blacked out on windows, PLM heat exchanger and cm30 pump, all lights will be blacked out as well ... then im gonna do a baseline run before i get the new goodies -

Im hoping to do a jerry tune and pulley as soon as i get back from sema and looking for some headers? PLM ? or LT ? are there any other mods i can do that you guys can recommend? any input would be great im a noob to the e55

Nice man!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome that you are moving so fast with the build!

Go with the long tube headers! Then get a pulley and tune (We have a good deal on the combo now for jerry tune and pulley) and look at injectors!

If you want to start getting power hungry then go to the 82mm throttle body as well.

Last but not least, a good data logger so you can make sure things are as they should be!

Thanks guys i sjust took some shots with my camera phone i lost my cord for my camera so im waiting to transfer to post pics, anthony from promax in so cal had it done in a day i dropped it off monday the 25th when i bought the car around 4pm and the next day 26th i got it back with the first segment of mods lol!! the car was totally vanilla and un abused no history

 

yup i already contacted jerry for that $1299 combo , im gonna order it after sema and when you get the pulleys in stock again

You call yourself a newb (NOT) BUT you did your homework very well on the car and mods WELL DONE!

 

did a baseline dyno today at dc performance , thank you aaron! so my stock ic pump is not working lol and did pretty bad 330whp and kept going lower per pass.. and forgot the tq not worth remembering haha , good thing is my new cm30 pump came and plm heat exhchanger so ill get that on asap and re dyno monday

anyhow i was @ my airbrush guys place and i had him do up the intercooler with a kool design

 

Congrats! That is a ton of mods to accomplish in a short time frame! It is going to be nicely done!

 

haha nice, this is what my first week with the car will be like too....Im planning to get it during winter break from school so I have to rush a few things before going back!

 

Thanks so i bought the car on a monday, blew the tranny on a friday lmao!! its getting a new one put in along with service c then back to the mods... --- > pulley, ecu headers, etc all the good stuff, also getting full matte black with red stripes down middle, basically going to be mini me of a g55 wagon that scc specialty car craft did , will also do side exit exhaust as well, when i get to sema ill take sum pics and vids i never heard a 55 sound soooo good b4 ...

 

heres a few snaps of it the night b4 it blew up :0 .. did the yellow for hween but didnt make it , but i removed it already and gonna do a lite tint..

 

Everything looks great! Just not feeling the 2 tone hood....other than that, it looks great, but if it makes you happy, that is all that counts.

 

I would get the windshield tinted to go with the rest of the dark look.. Look good though

the matte racing stripe on the hood looks like ****e - just do the roof

 

oh .. the trans blew, just got a new one put in.. yea ... the cars getting done in matte black with red stripe red grill and pinstriping.. like stated in previous posts
