2nd to 3rd gear feels like a granny shift during race.

So i raced a Stock CLS55 last night.(transmission on sport, dampers on sport2 and in gear 1) I caught the jump. 1st gear was smooth, shift to 2nd was good. 2nd gear also went smooth, however when car shifted from 2nd to 3rd it felt less agressive. CLS55 would gain big everythime i shifted from 2nd to 3rd. it wasnt a bog feeling, it was more of like a granny shift feeling. Any ideas??

Also i I did the tranny reset about 3 hours prior to race because car was feeling sluggish during shifts. Car no longer feels sluggish, just granny shifts to 3rd.

I have smiliar issue but when shifting from 3rd to 4th, it takes time to shift like the car keep in same power for a while and then shifts so hard like something may came out the drive train.

I wish if anyone can give us any idea.

Transmission service was done recently, so it is not filter, or oil, or anything related to tranny service because I have had this issue before the service and still there.

how long does adaptation take? i did 5-6 runs in total with the same outcome.

ahmad, how does your car differ since the tranny service?

I have had this problem of delay and hard shifting since I did my mods "first with KLEEMAN header" but at that time it was not so hard like after installing the "TB82 + HE + IC pump".

Even when I serviced my tranny, nothing changed

My car is the same after service, I guess I was not running hard on my car most of the time.

The reset was messed u up without a doubt. I did the same thing b4 I raced Mthis last winter, I reset my ecu like 2-3 hours b4 i raced him and my shifts were PATHETIC. Check out the link. The last 2 races were done about an hour or so later where my car began to shift back to normal but the first 2-3 runs i would just fall behind badly

Car could be getting hot, I noticed the same thing happening at the track. Temps cooled down about 10 degrees when i was on my way home and the lag in the shift was gone. Do a little test, drive the car at a constant 60 mph jam the throttle see what happens, then do the same from a dead start and see if there's a difference.

I still would like to know why there is a lagging in shifting when I accelerate hard on the car?

It takes long time to shift, yeah, it reaches close to 7000 rpm and does not want to shift then it shifts after some time, this delay in shift is really noticeable and it gets me lose a lot of time.

D S M, all modes has been tried, even without setting the gear to 1 and leaving it as it is on D or S.

Now, I can notice it from 1st to 2nd, don't know what's the reason !!!

Anyway help ??!!!

Suggestion??!!!

Bump!!!!

I too noticed this while recently at the dragstrip this past weekend. Each pass was the same, 1st to 2nd would be fine and then a noticeable lag going from 2nd to 3rd. Feels like a lurch. Almost like the car is revving past redline and finally catches 3rd gear a quarter second later. I had someone else drive my car and he too felt the same thing. I was meaning to ask Jeremy (who was at the event) if he had any thoughts as to what may have been going on. I'm going to take my car to my independent shop to have them take a look.

Thoughts anyone??

its in the tune we all got it, its just most of the guys in the US dont have the car in full power from 3rd to 4th to feel it...speed limits

it has something to do with torq load limits i believe

Mine is solved, tune problem

I have another problem and I hope it is the not the SC , I can hear that IC pump is not running since I have Meziere that is loud, but when switch off the car and start again, the meziere works and power own until I hit the accelerator more than half then the problem is on again

The car lose boost and drive like a diesel car

I will take it to be inspected by STAR today

it used to be a tune problem.

but mine now shifts faster than before and it rocks.

i replaced SC bearings this week with roll bearings ( double bar ) instead of the single ball bearings ( stock ones) and it sure is smooth.

roll bearings was recomnded by alot of my friends as they never had a problem, not like the ball ones that comes as stock. they also withstand high rotations.

PS the X6M got in the drag 11.8x. lol it is about 670hp now.

next week im trying with E55 now that i got some Nitto Nt05 on it.
