+1 I have a Tomtom and Garmin both of these are 1000X better than the factory Nav and get free updates too. Factory Nav is useless for everything but major roads and roads older than 10 years old plus user interface sucks.

I have a 2004 with Nav and have bought many updates. MB Nav system is BAD. I just went and got a Garmin for less money than an update and it works 100 times better. Save yourself heartache.

A Garmin or TomTom would be the best results for accurate and easy to use Navi. Otherwise the alternative is to completely go aftermarket (my choice).

I already have a couple GPS devices that work well AND are free (on my HTC EVO, Garmin, etc). It would just be nice to have up to date maps on the E55. -I certainly do not intend on paying for the updates...as far as I'm concerned, the updates should be available for free to customers... If google maps can update their customers for free..... why can't Navteq provide the same service to it's paying customers.
