2001 S500, 2007 Acura RDX turbo
Looking to Buy A E55

I need a few help with making my decision on which E55 to buy. I came across a 2003 E55 with 132k miles for $16k and 2005 E55 with 136k miles for $17k, there both in great conditions but with that many miles should i buy or keep looking. please help!

I am a new owner... just got it last week. My feeling is that you get what you pay for. High Miles/no warranty = BIG REPAIR BILLS.

I like what one of the guys said recently. "It's a 100K car with 100K car costing parts regardless of how old it is"

Just the reality of Benz parts rape.

If those are your only choice, then I would definitely go for the 2005 one because that was the 3rd year of production and with every year, the manufacturer gets a chance to fix more and more issues as they find them. Both cars are very high mileage to begin with so the small difference between them doesn't really matter at this point.

The other thing to consider is what JakPro1 said: these cars will be expensive to maintain. When something does go wrong, you'll pay big bucks to get it fixed. If you can get sometype of extended warranty, then go for it, but without warranty things can become extremely costly.

^ this. On the high-mile cars, also, the front ends can get a bit "loose" (no other way to say it, really). Bushings, steering service, etc. can make some the cars feel 100% better and really tighten up the experience. I know guys that bought theirs with 60k miles on them drive new ones (when they were new) and just walk away floored at how great the newer ones felt. At 100+ miles, might want to check that. Don't buy either car without a SOLID service history, either.
