Heat Exchanger & Fuel Pump

I'm getting a new Heat Exchanger and Fuel Pump, what kind of performance gains or any changes at all should I see?

FYI: Total newb to car mechanics these two mods are part of a kit I'm getting piece by piece.

EDIT: Also, how much would a 180 pulley be and are there different brands?

I can tell you thats an odd combo of parts? Most people would say a pulley, tune and cooling mods are the bread and butter of the 55k

Just curious. Why change the fuel pump? If it is a key part of the kit perhaps you might want to compare with other kits on the market (that don't require a fuel pump change) in terms of "bang for bucks"...

@OK55

That's where my problem is, I've been dealing with so much stuff lately I simply ordered a fuel pump & heat exchanger through my mechanic since he recommended that I should start with those.

He is god of vipers so I was a bit concerned since I only know of two other e55's he has had experience with but I trust all the guys at my shop so I just wanted to know if there are fuel pumps & heat exchangers that would alter my performance for the better?

So to answer your question directly I have no idea why I would change it other than it is part of their new e55 kit.

As I said I am a newb when it comes to mechanics but I have full faith in my mechanic and know that he would not be recommending mods for my e55 if he was not already 100% confident in them.

He probably meant intercooler pump.

No real gains per se, but an HE and IC pump (if that is what it is) upgrade will allow your engine to continue to produce good consistent power after back to back runs. It is also an excellent foundation in which to build from which sounds like the plan.

Yeah probably said intercooler pump. Tell the god of vipers these cars go insane with headers. Good set should be your next mod!

Gains are an easy 40 plus hp

hey im a little new with these thing too..

are the IC pump innercooler and heat exchanger the same?*if not what do each do and are any located in the s/c?

all of a sudden i got a power cut in my car driving on the highway ever since if i press the gas a little hard even without it downshifting the power cuts out and it almost gives off a putting sound or kinda feels like the spark plug wires are on wrong?

what you think the prob is?

thanks
