I saw a thread on this topic, but I wanted to ask a slightly different question. How do you fell about having an independent service garage do your brakes? Is there anything that requires that MB do the work? I have a service garage do my other cars, but never my E55. I figure he could save me a ton of money vs MB and would have no problem with after market parts. He's a regular gear head and builds stock drag cars and has always done good work for me, but I thought I would double check with you guys first.
Thanks.
Thanks.

as long as they are not bleeding the system you are fine. Just ask them to disconnect electrical connector from SBC unit before attempting to change the pads.

I would let my indy change my brakes, but I prefer to you that task myself. I like the enjoyment know ing that I did myself, then I know that it will be done the right way. No that they can't perform the task.

Unfortunately, I am the last person I would have do my brakes, but I appreciate the responses.
