Black Friday Special Enjoy :) Smoke Show LOL

Instead of going to the mall and burning gas trying to find a parking spot, we figured why not test fit some MT Drag Radials and then waste some gas and burn rubber
LOL Enjoy the video

Not sure what size the tires are, but they are CLK Aluminum wheels. Extremely light weight.

CLK320 16" stockers. You will have to run 25mm spacers to make them clear and extended lugs.

shardul you need a new scale!!! clk rims tip the scales at 14lbs. those mt's weigh in at a hefty 29 lbs! try some hoosiers which weigh 22 lbs or goodyear eagle ss dr's which weigh 24lbs.

That is correct. Hoosiers are lighter but not recommended for the streets due to the softer sidewalls. MT's are much more suited for both the track and streets.

i have the same clk rims wrapped in 255/50-16 goodyear eagle ss dr's. each wheel and tire combo weighs 38.5 lbs with 18 psi of air. the mt streets are the heaviest of the dr's but the only street legal tire due to the tread and sidewall design. i only use mine at the track so goodyear got the nod only 2 lbs heavier than a hoosier but cheaper at 189$ each

are you running linelock?

No Sir. We sourced a set of MT locally for dirt cheap that is why we got them. Total cost of DR setup including tire, rim, spacers, etc etc is 150 for the pair
Trying to go fast on a budget, didnot want to spend big $$$ on LTW rotors, etc

Do you have to do anything special to get the traction control to not kick in? I thought I remembered reading something where the OEM traction / stability system would kick in and not allow you to power brake the E55. Or maybe that was the E63? Any idea?

Cool video!

MT Radials weigh in at 29 lbs. However he is running MT ET Street (non radial), which weigh in at 22 lbs new. If I had to guess they only weigh 20lbs now...lol

Nice smoke show! How did they hook after you heated them up?

What intake pipes are those? Are they simply stockers with heat wrap?

Thanks,
Todd

Yes. They are the stockers with heat wrap. Shardul has tested the temperature differences and it reduces heat by 10degrees.

You beat me to it Those are not drag radials, they are bias ply. Which are not recommended to mix with radial tires up front. The car probably sways alot at high speed They stick like glue though. Downside is since the sidewall isnt stiff you will go faster/quicker on a radial with the same launch (if both get traction) but put more stress on driveline parts. Just my 2 cents
