E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
I have done 3 of them so far. The largest obstacle really is holding the clutch in place while trying to remove the bolt. What I use is the non slip tape used on steps with the rough sandy part used to grip my large rubber strap. Holds it well as I hit it with the impact wrench to remove the bolt. There are two small 'key' pins that the front fits into. Have seen some bend and break those while putting things back together-so something to be mindful of.
Pressing the old bearing out is fairly easy but I would highly recommend against using a hammer like others have suggested, especially to install new bearing. A press in the only way to go, true and straight being the key.
