I thought it would be February, March before the E63 dropped to the mid 30's. I didn't expect it to come this soon.
So besides a failing economy and highest unemployment since the GD, your answer lies in the interior color combo.

That is a good price but not crazy good. See below for comparison.

Also how do you like your SL65? That or a CL, S65 is my next ride. May I ask how fast it is with the Jerry tune?
Thanks.

It could be the Brown also seem like those PICs are
from a track. In the background I see some fast looking cars. Who knows maybe she is good looking online but in person she is not that hot.. I saw a few cars online that look mint and in person were trash. Wait for 2011 to hit and you will get much better deals.

I don't follow E63 pricing that closely, but isn't this thing priced below '07 models with more miles? I though the '07s were still in the high $30K range? Wonder if it's a salvage title or something? Should still have ~1 year of factory warranty remaining.
The interior looks like the old Java color. About half the MBs sold in the US had that, though not so much the AMG models. In Texas, where this car is located, it definately has the advantage of being cooler that the typical charcoal interior during the summer months.

Once again.............it is the baby shiat brown interior, and the crappy brown exterior. That is why it is cheap. If it was silver, black or white, he probally would have sold it by now.

I am always a bit surprised the degree to which buyers of these high-testosterone cars care about the color. Somehow I expect men to care about the HP, torque curve, and number of ratios in the transmission, but not so much the color...

It's been for sale for a while.. Bridgeport is far enough from DFW that no one will drive out there to look at it. Plus the color combo... Just not helping the sale.

The color isnt amazing, but for me, the issue would be the miles.
Most folks who can afford to drive (gas), insure and maintain these cars have the means to buy one with far less miles.
Not an issue for original owners who have 40k miles they put on themselves, but to buy a 3 year old car with moderate to high miles without knowing more is a delicate proposition.

Well,...
I have pulled the master vehicle inquiry on that car. Caught my eye too. It's at the office, so I'll check when I get back, but it's not brown, it is iridium gray. I will confirm the interior color for you. I too didn't think it was that bad. And 43k miles isn't that tough for a car that is now 3 model years old. That's still under 15k miles a year. Yes, I'd rather have a 26k mile one, but not for another 10k.The way these cars are depreciating, I believe I'd rather start at 40 than close to 50, especially with the 212's getting way easier to come by. And I'm not a fan of the MB CPO, so I'm certainly not going to let that affect me. BTW, the dealer had it listed on OVE (for dealers) twice with no bids.

One other thing...
the black 07 that alex mentioned above (at Carmax) went out of warranty yesterday. That being the case, it's not much of a value at all. This 08 has over a year left.

I don't know iridium grey. Likely it's one of those colors that looks different in direct sun vs. overcast light. The photos on ebay look to have been taken on a partly cloudy day, so likely this is why the car looks grey in some and more brown in others.
I don't mind the tan or taupe interiors MB has produced. But this java color has a lot of yellow in it. I had a 210 wagon with the java interior. Color isn't that important to me, but even I would think twice before getting another car with that interior color.

FYI,
I have the MVI in my hand. Interior is not Java, it is cashmere nappa. Lots of options.....
