heat problem..... works on n off ? (help)
I'm wondering if anyone else had this problem I searched and found nothing helpful. My heat is not working right on my car it, blows out cold air when I have the HEAT highand then sometimes it decides to work. Its FREEZING in NYC and I'm wondering if any1 might have had this issue before ?

It sounds like the heater control valve has failed or is starting to fail. Happened to me this Summer. The part can be had for ~$50 online and the replacement DIY is on here somewhere. Takes less than an hour, but you do have to remove some plastic and the windshield wipers/motor.

It's not too bad a DIY install but that can be subjective.
If you have very limited experience turning a wrench, it will be a bit of a challenge. More experience doing DIYs and it will take you a couple hours.

Takes like all of 20 minutes if you have the right tools handy for the job.... the biggest pita is removing the wipers to access the control valve...
