Well you can always get the 82mm and grind the shaft and it will come out to be something like a 85mm

I've always wondered about the SRT-8 throttle bodies. So much so I bought a used SRT8 throttle body on ebay for $50. Its a 6 pin set up, and would mosty like need to be re pinned. I havent gotten around to anything but looking at it yet, and I dont know if I am. Meaning Is that something I'm willing to R&D. Just for talking sake, if it did work that would make SRT8 throttle bodies an option. Some of those go up to 90mm or something on the aftermarket.

If you're ever going to buy an air box in the future, then I recommend you get the RENNtech 82mm TB + Airbox package. They were the first one to release the 82mm TB and so their airbox works on it without problems. I've heard of a few problems trying to fit the RENNtech air box on the non 82mm TB.

Yes, their products are expensive.... you'd be surprised though how prices sometimes differ when talking to them directly - especially in holiday times

I've thought about the SRT8 unit too, but the problem will be the SC inlet. The stock E55 SC inlet can't be bore out to 90mm. The 80mm SC inlet may, but I'm not sure on that.

I bought my 80MM inlet (Plenum) at the dealer, and after match porting it to the 82mm TB, it had a LOT of room for more. I am sure that the two parts could be mated.. just not sure if the DBW would be compatible.. Maybe my next project can start now? HAHAH kiddin...

What about the Chevy TB's? Anybody mess with these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/6-0-6...Q5fAccessories

Basically the same thing here:
http://speed-eng.com/store/ls2-90mm-...y-p-10899.html

And a ton of info here:
http://www.chevythunder.com/drive_by_wire.htm

Unfortunately I'm to ignorant on TB's to know what the hell I'm looking at.

SRT8 is an 80mm throttle body. I assume you mean the Dodge Hemi 5.7/6.1 units.
They use a D style connector so you will need an adapter harness to make it work as well as a custom adapter for the supercharger housing. Also they are non serviceable due to VDO manufacture not Bosch.

wont work. Different calibration.

Largest on the market currently is 82mm.
Eurocharged is working on an 85mm version of the OEM unit and a 90mm version.

anymore DBW throttle body questions?

This is true, It is a VDO throttle body. Yep, to much of a hassle to even think about using it.
