Bored / Raining- Color Matched Grille!
My stock grille was a bit chipped up, so I decided to sand it down and paint it. I got a can of color match (Tectite Grey) paint a couple months ago, not really knowing what I needed it for.. Well, I found a purpose
I pulled the grille off, which is just 6 - 8mm bolts. Very easy
I then was contemplating masking off the two parts, and realized that would be a mess. SO- With two screwdrivers, I was able to unclip the 200 clips that hold the front and back pieces together.
Once they were seperate, I was home free.
I sanded and primered the (formerly chrome grille).. once that was dry, I wet sanded, and sprayed with the Tectite Grey. Once that was dry, I cleared it, then buffed it out
reassmbled the two parts, and slapped it back on the car. It looks WAY better than before.
I will take a picture once it is light out. Just wanted to share my fun weekend!
