Just imaging you and your wife about five hundred miles from home and to find out your door will not latch. The nearest dealer will not be able to get it fix until three days from today. Your infant child is home with grandma who can't drive and doesn't speak English. Tell me if you're still think highly of your MB.

If I had a wife and kid I wouldnt buy a 2004 E55 period. My family rides in newer cars under warranty with roadside, they do not need a AMG. Even with that being said and I could get warranty on a 03 or 04 E55 I wouldnt buy it.

I have very close friends who also speak my native language live right across from me so we were comfortable with the arrangement. Also my son grew up with grandma since he was five days old. But anyway, the E no longer go anywhere outside the state anymore.

I understand. The escort was a bad example. Can't wait to see the new rims mounted up. : )

You backed your way into a 100k Benz, thats why you are complaining($26k for a new car gets you a fully loaded Chevy Cruze), but you didnt want that you wanted a BENZ. Gotta pay to play! Dont bunch all W211s in this category. Even E55 owners say try to stay away from 03 and 04 they were bad years with issues (not all of them but a majority). If you know Benz the early 2000s were awful cars and not until recently have they gotten their act together. So what you hold a door, your car is also faster than 85% of the cars on the road which is probably a reason of why you bought it.
You are right about one thing though. I didn't want a chevy cruise as my play car. Lol.
