Just got a price of $288 at MB of Sugar Land. Any better pricing in Houston before I bite the bullet?

I was at Mercedes North Houston just yesterday and I was quoted $300. Seems to be the baseline. Maybe the dealer will do a group buy with so many locals needing keys lol

Thanks for your post. My dealer wants 450 to replace a key that was stolen. If you can do it for <300 I would love to buy it from you.

Just to put things in perspective. I had to pay the MB dealer near me $800 Oz ($600 US) for a 2nd key for my E55.

One more time. Replacement keys and working keyfobs are ONLY available through an authorized Mercedes Dealer. They are required to visually verify you are the owner (have the title/registration in hand and in your name), verify the VIN, and then order the replacement from MBUSA/GERMANY where the computer system that encoded the original can make another one (number of keys possible with the correct code limited to 6 total) Car cannot be started without the correct coding, which cannot be performed by anyone other than the OEM factor computer system. The DEALER cannot 'make' you a replacement key/keyFOB. They must be ordered from Germany.

I work at a Harley dealership and it's a similar ordeal to get keys. We get a lot of people coming in saying "Hey, I just bought this bike...". No proof of ownership, we're not doing **** for you when it comes to keys.
