E63 Ash Tray Issue

This turned into a comical event at the MB service department. I arrived promptly for my appointment to install the fuse. Problem was, they had no appointment time for me.
The two car runners were wondering who I was and repeated several times that I was not on the list for an appointment. They just stood completely still like idiots and didn't try to suggest what in the world could be done. After starting to raise hell, the service manager ended up changing out the fuse which is a number 15. He sent me running to the parts department to get the fuse. In parts, I got the fuse but they wanted to charge me for the $5.00 warranty item saying "well we need something to charge this to".
The parts manager followed me out to the service drive and proceeded to argue with the service manager about where to charge the $5.00 fuse. They finally decided to hit "shop supplies" for the fuse. The service manager proceeded to drop the fuse in the engine compartment and sent me running after the parts guy for another fuse. Finally, the fuse was replaced and the stupid thing is fixed.
This is just another example of how incompetent the Stealer can be. I was really mad and noted half way through this debacle that my service adviser was hiding from me. He did call me later to apologize and couldn't help but laugh at the situation with me, a**hole.
BTW, the fuse is not " always on" as noted in the post above. The ash tray cigar lighter only works when the key is turned on.
Nothing bad really happened other than a complete waste of time. It did bring back memories of the same Stealer scratching the hood of my 2007 E63 as result of insisting on a car wash that I requested not take place.
Murphy's Law at it's best.
