Question regarding AMG e55 years

MBWorld Fanatic!
Emoving, your wheels are sick! Do they make 19's for E55's in that style? Checking their website now but figured you might know off the top of your head.
Thanks.

Yep
..... buying the last year of a particular model as been a VERY safe relative to buying the FIRST year of a particular model. This isn't meant to knock the 2003 E55s, but it's just common sense that MB (and other auto makers) continue to improve/fix issues through its model life)...and usually all the kinks are worked out by the last model year.

I agree. As a general rule (with rare exception), I will skip the first model year or at the very least skip the early production of the first model year.

Interestingly, however, is the fact that i am good friends with a guy who is an engineer at the Ford truck plant here in Louisville. He told me never to buy year one for the reasons discussed above - still working out the bugs. But, he also said that once the bugs are worked out, manufacturers (at least Ford) then spent time trying to move the profit margin back somewhat, and get money back out of the production of the vehicle - cheaper parts, etc. Just food for thought.
