E55 Magnaflow question
Looking to swap out the stock mufflers for some magnaflows. Wondering who has done this and what model magnaflow you used?? what P/N?? Just not sure of stock tubing size (coming into the muffler and the 2 exits out the tips) Im looking to re-use the stock tips so i know they'll have to be cut and welded onto the new muffs just not sure of the OD size. Any help is appreciated.

Good luck with your setup. Be sure to put a middle muffler to get the drone out.

stock amg muffler (straight through) are huge compare to magnaflow...smaller muffler= louder the sound...
i doubt you gain any power with magnaflow ...stock amg muffler are better flow...
depend what kind of sound you want..
me; i prefer raspy sound (drone)...but only under load and high rpm..
mine setup: straight pipe from primary cat to stock amg muffler...delete secondary cat and resonator (lost some low end torque though
)

I'll be selling my Magnaflow setup (mufflers and tips) in a few weeks. It is too loud for the wife.
Here is a sound clip:

Here a video of mine. 3 inch piping to magnaflow xpipe muffler to magna flow rear muffler. Has a very deep baritone sound to it and I love it also there is no drone what so ever.

Yes it will, any good exhaust shop can easily swell 2.75" piping to 3" for the install. That is what I did for my maggies on my old e55. Go with the 3" as it will sound deeper.
