Wow, is that a pain in the butt to do? Is the blue kind of overwhelming? Is it as useful at illuminating (you know, if you are reading a map or something)?
Looks...very cool.

I know on my car I have two separate rear "domes," but they are not round but long, and I believe it is different because I have the panoramic roof. Anyways, I am thinking you can replace it but you would need to find a new way to power the EL paper, and I just think it would be too much hassle and easy for something to go wrong where you would not be able to go back and fix it. So I think it is just best to replaced the bulbs with high powered smd-led's and call it a day!
I feel you Mikey, the rings will stay amber then. It only started to bug me when i noticed that at full brightness on the cluster, the front ring is almost half as bright as the rear one.
Nicely done on your interior.

Thanks everyone! The bulbs are a pain in the butt to change out just because of the small little things that you run into that ends up taking way more time than expected. Since I was the guinea pig though I will make a list of every type of bulb you need to do the entire car. BTW, I forgot to post pictures of the courtesy door lights and the mirror bulbs which I installed today

how many led (2, 4 + led per 36mm festoon) did you use for interior and doors?
how many led ( 2 4 + led per 5w5 T10) for the interior and mirror?
My main thing is if they have to be canbus or just the reular, i know that my exterior lights had to be canbus, but i think i read that the interior doesnt need to be.
thanks

Got the set...looks like it's 4 bulbs short of the festoon size for the footwells/bottom of door lights...and has two large festoons that I'm not sure what are for yet (haven't pried open the dome lights yet).

Got all the bulbs done that I could do. Set was short 4 36mm festoons...but came with two 42mm festoons that I don't need anywhere (unless they were intended for the license plate - for which I bought the OTHER two the recommended you add on). I won't be changing the map reading (button activated lights) because I find it easier to read with the regular lights. And won't be changing the vanity lights either. Other than that...really really like the look - very pleasant. The only pain in the *** thing was getting the rear view mirror back on...took me a good ten minutes.

Yep. The front foot wells work great. Using 36mm 6SMD bulbs in there. The kit came with 42mm bulbs for there...but those are way too big. I'm ordering 4 more 36mm ones so I can finish it out - I already tested the size in the rear footwells and they work great.
I wonder why yours flicker? You can bend the connections a bit in the footwells to make them tighter so the contact stays.
What did you do about the "ambient" ring lights?

Just doesn't work. I have no idea either why. I bought resistor ones too and they don't work either. Just put regular bulbs or disconnect. My LEDs are so damn bright, I need to get a new set to tone them down. 36LED boards in each socket lol

Maybe all that crack I was rockin' out to yesterday got to me...but I swear I threw some in to test yesterday. Will do again...

Phew. Well it wasn't the crack. The tq may have gotten to me... but the 36mm 6D bulbs work just fine in my rear footwells. Good thing 'cause I just ordered 4 more this morning to finish out the job.

Car not on.
Just opened front passenger door...pulled led out of door there...opened rear passenger door...popped out floor light...popped in led there... Stays on.
Maybe your 36 LED boards draw too much? I'm just using the 6 SMD LED's. Look great. 36mm.
