They aren't even available in E55/63 sizes
At least I've never been able to locate any 5P (they're 5P, not p5) to fit my car (not even Tire Rack.) They are in "select sizes only" right now.
Why not use PS2s? I think they have the crispest turn-in. I have them on all my cars.
Or wait until there are more sizes available of the new Pilot Super Sport. Tire Rack did a test at an event in Dubai and they came in with high marks. They'll be officially launched in a few more days and with more sizes available. Right now they are OEM only on the Ferrari 599.
Here's from that event: "Compared with the Continental ContiSportContact 5P (select sizes available in North America) the car with the Michelin Pilot Super Sport displayed better ultimate grip and more predictable break away and recovery when it reached the limit."
fwiw, I personally never liked the Contis (had the Conti 3s on the E63 before, and the 2s on my BMW.) Turn-in seemed sluggish, and they felt greasy when hot.

Re: Conti 5's
I'd check the Tire Rack feedback forum on their website. Believe they are also OEM on some BMW models, you might want to look at the BMW forums.
I briefly considered them for my SL last Winter, but went with Michelin PS2 as the Conti's were literally brand new, as such there was no feedback anywhere yet, and the cost difference was around $225 vs the PS2's.
Have you considered the new Michelin PSS? Feedback I've seen everywhere is very good.
