im putting in vacation time so i can attend . i would want to run the track if theres a list being started. im not in a the same league as dodger63 but i can manage a low 12 pretty consistently. should be able to lasso a m3!
please let me know if i wont be able to run thats the main reason for my attending.

Marcus, with every car you buy, and every picture you post, it makes me want to buy an MB more and more. I'll never sell my M5, but would only add to the stable. I have found myself spending more and more time on this site drooling........

Sounds like fun if your car is super fast, but I do not know how great a bone stock E63 would be with all of you supercharged boys and girls turning blazing fast times.

I am looking forward to seeing these highly modded AMG's. I'm running an almost stock E39 M5. In most company I have the fastest car around, but I will be the little kid on the block that day. There are a few guys at work who have non Z06 corvettes, a few Z06's and some trans-ams who think they are fast. I am inviting them too so they can see some real cars.

Lets keep the track cars to a certain number with those spots going to the MB and BMW owners. Otherwise this will turn in to a big test and tune which will be a waste of time for anyone that travels here. We start letting every tom dick and harry run, the real cars will get little track time.

A few of the guys from the board mentioned that they were bringing their wives, otherwise they wouldn't be able to make it. (Adam and Peter for example.)

My wife is planning an evening out for the wives/GF's that do plan on attending Timmayfest Friday night for those that are interested. We have a 7 person SUV for those who will not have transportation.

Most of us take 11 seconds to get down the track.. And we do 3-6 runs before a 30 min at the min cool down I don't see a problem with 30 cars per lane at all especialy if we are all Mercedes I wouldn't for see any oil leaks or blow ups on the track we should just be put onto groups. Let group 1 go 10 cars make your passes prob 20 min of runs then group 2 goes then group 3 so on... I think that would be best.. Organized we could let more cars run..

agreed! Also the MB's would be strongly suggested to attend the meet the next day!

I would stick to 50-60 cars. That will keep costs down, and is easy to manage. We do that for all our private track days, and never have any issues.

Keep the sc cars in a group and the non sc in a group that runs when the sc is cooling down!

I am going to run my car!

So is this turning into a high hp MB only event? I guess I am getting a bit confused. I was trying schedule a track night the evening before Timmayfest so that anyone with a BMW/Mercedes could have some fun and run. It sounds like maybe what you guys are planning is a bit too serious for those of us that aren't SC 500+hp cars, which really, will be 90% of those attending.

I was just answering questions? Sorry I like these events thats all I'm looking for is fun. This is your deal if you want me to stay home so be it? I just want to have fun also? By the way I only have tune headers intake? And light weight parts? I already ordered wheels for this event!!

No, no, no, it's not like that at all. It's great that you guys want to do this for the MB crowd. I am all for it! I guess we just aren't on the same wave length as far as the plan for that particular weekend. (June 10th & 11th) It seems it went from us doing a drag night, to BMW vs Mercedes, to selecting who is allowed to run. I'm sure who ever is paying for it makes the call, as it should be. I know Marcus is waiting to here from the owner, but are YOU GUYS renting the track for the day? I may be sticking my nose in some place it doesn't belong if so, and I apologize....

I just need to know what the plan is. I have 10 threads on 10 boards I am trying to keep information current about Timmayfest. If I need to be getting guys to commit to the track evening to help with the funding, no problem. If you guys are funding this yourself so you can call the shots, that's fine too, I just need to know so I can proceed with a plan, but from the posts I am reading, that's the way it seems.

Understood about you "only having a tune, headers, and an intake" but you are "smelling 10.7s". I don't think you would even be able to see me in your rear view mirror if that's the case. Your car is in an entirely different class than most of those attending.

The original thread that interested me was mb AMG meet @ the 1/4 track then it evolved into BMW vs mb I really don't car about that it would be a cool concept for a track day but.. Im not sure about the rental who's calling the shots or anything. Typical track rental consist if a price divided by participants? I'll pay to play obviously? I guess whoever is the leader for the event should fill us in.. I'm down to play, I'd love to see What the bimmers and my Mercedes friends do at the track? I guess all I have left to say is; whoever is organizing this, id like to attend keep me posted
