Custom Piston question

Has anyone on the forum had custom pistons put into their car? I ask because I'm putting forged pistons into a M272 engine and as far as I know the m11x and m27x series block sleeves are made of the same silicon and aluminum alloyed material. I just want to make sure the sleeves in the block aren't fiber reinforced or something that would prevent the installation of a standard forged aluminum piston. I know they would need an iron coating so the two similar metals have no contact like the OE pistons but after that I'm at a loss.

JE is currently making a set of pistons for my 55 (M113).
They informed me that a special coating must be applied to the piston for it to work with my alusil coated cylinders.
This may be the case with your application (not 100% sure though)

haters crazy
^ I can't wait to see the results!! I may do it too but with lower compression

If you have alusil coated cylinders you can't just drop a regular forged piston in there. Either you have to sleeve the block or get custom pistons
