E55 Exhaust
Wanting a better exhaust sound from my stock E55. I'm wanting it to sound like the 6.3 AMG's. However I'm not wanting to spend tons of money on mufflers. Have read some stuff about magnaflow mufflers being used. Haven't been able to determine which muffler from magnaflow that is being used.. Magnaflows website states that they don't make one for the vehicle.. Any help would be much appreciated..

Thanks for the reply. I see that the muffler you indicated has a 3" inlet and 2.5" outlet. Is that correct? I was able to find one from magnaflow that was 3" in/out. Also, I see you have done alot of exhaust work on yours. What do you recommend? I don't want it to be retarded loud though.. Only when you get on it..

I have two rear 12198's and an dual/dual 3" In/Out xpipe muffler that acts as a muffler as well as an xpipe. I put it in mainly because I wanted to get rid of drone. Now it sounds just the way I want it to sound. Perfect. Quiet cruising, very hearty during WOT.
